As good as baklava and turkey were, this is the DETOX diet you all need after the holidays.

Baklava, Russian salad, turkey with or without spices, fizzy drinks, homemade meatballs, antipasti, chips etc, how many of you have resisted these foods, and many others that we haven't mentioned during these days? But after eating and drinking as much as you like, it's time to start the year with a strong detox regime that not only dissolves excess fat but improves digestive system performance which is overloaded these days.

Day One: Fruit Day
Have you ever tried to eat only fruit for one day and nothing else? This detoxification regimen begins exactly with fruits. We advise you to eat your favorite fruits, where of course the most important seasonal fruits. Apples, for example, regulate metabolism and stimulate the digestive system, while tangerines, oranges and citrus, rich in vitamin C and A, are advisable for heart health.

Day Two: Vegetable Day
The second day of the diet is the vegetable day. You can consume them boiled, cooked on steam, crudo (grilled) or grilled. It is advisable not to use any additives such as salt, olive or corn oil and vinegar. Among the advisable vegetables are broccoli that contains vitamin C and many nutrients, cucumber and green salad. Cucumber has diuretic abilities and fights urinary tract infections. It also contains sterols which lower blood cholesterol levels. Whereas green salad has 90% water and contains magnesium. Consuming it helps you lose weight and improves liver function.

Day Three: Fruit and Vegetable Day
For the third day of the diet you should eat fruits and vegetables. If you are tired of eating them consistently for the first two days, you can switch to a fructose and make juices. For example squeeze 2 carrots, 1 asparagus, 6 celery, 1 cucumber, 5 freckle leaves, 1 apple and one orange.

Day four: Rice and tomatoes
The fifth day is the day of rice and tomatoes. You can start the day with a pressed tomato juice, or eat cherry tomatoes with very little fat-free cheese. You can prepare a risotto with tomatoes and eat it at lunch or just boiled rice with tomato sauce. You should never use salt or oil.

Day Five: Fruits, vegetables and rice
This is the last day of your diet, practically the day you end your struggle with hunger and the desire to eat processed and fatty foods. Start the morning with a squeezed fruit juice. A good lunch recommendation is a risotto with carrots, squash and peas. At heart the fruit reappears, and the dinner is wrapped up with a strawberry risotto.
